I am currently in the process of finalizing my book, "Beyond Survival: Mindfulness Roadmap to PTSD & Trauma Recovery". The editing will be complete 4/5/24, so ideally the sooner I get this quick "one and done" project completed, the better. My book is all about overcoming PTSD and other trauma through mindfulness techniques. I am not a medical professional, as I state in my book however I have had PTSD recently, and I overcame it using the techniques described in my book (in addition to professional therapy). The book covers various aspects of trauma, including its definition, professional treatment options (just to give readers an idea of treatment options), impacts on relationships and families, and the profound effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on mental health, and more. Through a combination of mindfulness techniques, other therapeutic approaches, and real-life stories, the book aims to offer practical insights and strategies for overcoming trauma and fostering resilience. I even include 7 of the most common insensitive questions I have been asked regarding my PTSD diagnosis and ways to respond to initiate dialogue in a healthy way.
