In this role, you'll be responsible for crafting engaging and informative reviews of anime series, manga, webtoon, and movies. You'll analyze the story, animation, characters, music, and overall impact of each series, providing a balanced and insightful critique for our readers. Your reviews will help viewers decide what to watch next and spark discussions about the latest releases.
Our reviews wear two hats – one to cheer for an anime’s victories, the other to present valuable critique, constructing a rich understanding of each anime. They take majoritarian fan perspective, negative and positive, into account as well, uncovering the reasons behind an anime’s triumphs and stumbles in the eyes of its fans, offering the readers more value.
Our unique way of providing reviews focuses on the audience’s viewpoint along with making a case for the negatives and the positives in a piece of art to analyze its standing in the anime community. Balance, not bias, leads to accurate opinions. Think angel and devil’s advocate, not cheerleader and cynic.
Responsibilities:
– Watch and critically analyze assigned anime series and movies.
– Research background information on the anime, including genre, studio, and director.
– Write engaging and well-structured reviews that are informative and entertaining for the target audience.
– Clearly articulate your thoughts and opinions on the anime's strengths and weaknesses, supported by specific examples.
– Maintain a consistent writing style and tone that aligns with the platform's voice.
– Meet deadlines and adhere to editorial guidelines.
– Stay up-to-date on current anime trends and releases.
Qualifications:
– Extensive knowledge and passion for anime/manga/webtoon across various genres.
– Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and punctuation.
– Ability to analyze and critique storytelling, animation, characters, and other narrative elements.
– Experience writing reviews or similar content is a plus.
– Strong understanding of SEO best practices.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
