Role Summary: We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Go programming to enhance and scale our existing backend services. While Go is our core technology, we recognize the value of diverse tech backgrounds. We're open to seasoned Node.js developers eager to transition into Go, provided they have significant experience in developing high-load, complex, distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, test, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient backend services using Go. For Node.js experts, transition to Go with our guidance and support.
* Contribute to the design and architecture of our distributed system to improve scalability, performance, and reliability.
* Work closely with the frontend team to integrate API services and ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
* Implement best practices for code quality, testing, and security.
* Participate in code reviews, and mentor junior developers.
* Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy and monitor applications, aiding in automating the development pipeline as needed.
* Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices in backend development and be willing to challenge and improve our existing processes.
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
* At least 5 years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record of developing high-load, distributed systems.
* Proficiency in Go is preferred; however, expert-level Node.js developers with a willingness to learn Go will also be considered.
* Experience with databases (Postgres, MongoDB), messaging systems (SQS, Kafka), and RESTful API development.
* Knowledge of microservices architecture and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes/Docker).
* Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
