ERPNext development – Translator job
Project Overview:
The goal of this project is to enhance the functionality of ERPNext V15 to improve the efficiency of document management, email integration, and user interface customization within our existing system. We aim to achieve a more streamlined process for handling attachments, incoming emails, and display settings in the ERP system.
Requirements:
1. Consolidated Attachments Display:
Objective: Enable a unified view of all attachments related to purchase orders (POs), purchase receipts, and purchase invoices directly within the PO interface.
Details: Attachments should be categorized and displayed under separate headers based on their origin (Purchase Order, Purchase Receipt, Purchase Invoice, Quote).
Expected Outcome: Reduced need for navigating through different connections to view attachments, thereby saving time and reducing the risk of overlooking important documents.
2. Email Integration with In-House Exchange Server:
Objective: Develop a solution to integrate our in-house Exchange Server with ERPNext, enabling the direct fetching of emails to streamline the attachment of emails to corresponding Purchase Orders (POs).
Details:
We have a specific E-Mail adress for POs, that is fetched by ERPNext. Our ERP-System checks the subject of each incoming mail if the PO number is in the subject and attaches the EMail to the corresponding PO if found. Currently, our ERPNext system fetches emails from our email provider via IMAP. All other emails are fetched by our exchange Server.
The issue with this method is, that but due to our use of an intra2net-based Exchange Server (www.intra2net.com), emails do not reach ERPNext when sent directly from employees ofour company, because inhous emails are handeled directly by our in-house exchange server.
We need a to fetch emails directly from our Exchange Server, but ERPNext does not provide the option of integrating a exchange server.
Expected Outcome: Seamless integration that allows all relevant PO emails sent to our Exchange Server to be automatically fetched by ERPNext, thereby ensuring that email confirmations from suppliers are accurately attached to the respective POs, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of our purchase order management.

3. Adjustable Column Width in List View:
Objective: Allow customization of column widths in the list view to match the flexibility offered in the table view.
Details: Users should be able to adjust the width of columns in list views within ERPNext V15, enhancing readability and user experience.
Expected Outcome: Increased user satisfaction and efficiency when interacting with list displays in ERPNext.
Timeline and Deliverables:
4. Attach when e-mails are sent the attached pdf of the print doctype
Objective: Attach in the comment section not only the text of the email, but also the sent printed pdf doctype.
Expected Outcome: Traceability documents are sent to receiver (supplier)
The project is expected to commence immediately upon freelancer selection, with a tentative completion date set as soon as possible.
Deliverables will include implemented features in a staging environment for testing, followed by full integration into the live ERPNext system upon approval.
