Modern Personal Homepage with Tufte Theme – Blogging Job

This would be the design for my personal blog, which I would like to use a Tufte theme, like one of the following pages:

Ideally, it would be more modern-looking, I am open to modifications in the overall style. A reproduction of the first linked page would be desired.
