We are VetNearNow, a pioneering mobile veterinary service preparing for launch in London. As we gear up for our official launch, we're looking for an experienced web developer to help enhance our website and improve user experience. Our goal is to ensure an intuitive, engaging platform that reflects our commitment to providing top-quality veterinary care directly to pet owners' homes.
Responsibilities:
– Enhance Form and Backend Functionality: Improve the forms for adding prescriptions, user profiles, and appointments using Django forms and models.
– User Authentication and Management: Enhance the existing user authentication system to ensure robust security and seamless user flow for different roles (vet, client).
– Dynamic Form Handling: Improve forms for scheduling and managing appointments, including real-time validations and user feedback.
– PDF Generation for Prescriptions: Refine the functionality to generate and manage PDF prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards.
– Geolocation Features: Develop or enhance location-based services to facilitate the booking and management of appointments according to user proximity.
– Appointment Management System: Enhance the existing appointment system to include features such as confirming, cancelling, and rescheduling by both vets and clients directly through the platform.
– Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure the platform is fully responsive across all devices, improving the interface and user interaction on mobile devices.
Required Skills:
– Proficient in Python and Django framework.
– Experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap.
– Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Django REST framework.
– Knowledge of payment gateway integration, particularly PayPal.
– Experience with geolocation services or similar APIs.
Good understanding of database management and query optimisation.
Ability to write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
