Job Overview:
I am seeking a highly skilled WordPress Designer and Developer Expert to join our team on a long-term basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and developing WordPress websites, with a strong focus on both aesthetics and functionality. They will be responsible for taking over the management of our current sites, as well as assisting with the creation of new business websites, landing pages, and future large-scale projects.
Responsibilities:
– Take ownership of existing WordPress websites, ensuring they are updated, optimized, and maintained regularly.
– Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and translate them into visually appealing and user-friendly WordPress designs.
– Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins to meet specific project needs, ensuring compatibility with latest WordPress updates.
– Implement responsive design techniques to ensure websites are optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
– Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure cross-browser compatibility, usability, and performance optimization.
– Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing websites, addressing any technical issues or bugs in a timely manner.
– Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in web design and development, incorporating new technologies and techniques where applicable.
– Assist in the creation of new business websites, landing pages, and other digital assets as needed, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and objectives.
– Collaborate with marketing and content teams to integrate SEO best practices and optimize website content for search engines.
– Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to enhance the overall user experience and functionality of our websites.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a WordPress Designer and Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous WordPress projects.
– Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP, with a focus on WordPress development standards and best practices.
– Proficiency in using WordPress theme frameworks and page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi) to create custom layouts and designs.
– Experience with responsive design techniques and frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap) to ensure optimal performance across devices.
– Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, with the ability to implement on-page optimizations.
– Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Detail-oriented with a passion for creating visually stunning and user-friendly websites.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
– Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and deployment workflows is a plus.
– Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
