Job Description:
As a WordPress Developer and Optimizer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital presence and ensuring our website performs optimally. You will be responsible for developing new features, optimizing site performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices. This role requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, etc.).
Key Responsibilities:
– Develop and implement new features and functionalities for our WordPress website.
– Perform theme and plugin updates, as well as customizations.
– Optimize website speed and ensure high performance across all devices.
– Conduct website maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
– Ensure all aspects of the website are SEO optimized.
– Collaborate with the marketing team to align website design and functionality with brand strategy.
– Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices in website development and optimization.
Requirements:
– Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
– Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
– Experience with PHP back-end development.
– Knowledge of website architecture and aesthetics.
– Ability to manage projects, multitask, and meet deadlines.
– Familiarity with website optimization tools (e.g., GTMetrix, Google PageSpeed Insights).
– Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that the website will adhere to them.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
– Experience with Google Analytics Tag Manager and Google Webmaster Tools.
