Job Title: NLP & Web Development Expert Needed for Privacy Policy Analysis Application
Project Summary
I'm seeking a skilled developer to build an application that automates the analysis of website privacy policies. The core functions include extracting policies, generating summaries, and calculating readability scores. The ultimate goal is to use this application for a large-scale study of at least 100,000 privacy policies on popular websites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Web Scraping: Develop robust web scraping mechanisms (e.g., using Python libraries like BeautifulSoup) to extract privacy policies from specified websites.
* NLP for Summarization: Implement natural language processing techniques to create concise, informative summaries of privacy policies.
* Readability Analysis: Apply readability formulas (Flesch-Kincaid, Gunning Fog, etc.) to calculate and present readability scores.
* Data Management: Design and implement an appropriate database to store extracted data and analysis results.
* Web Application (Optional): If budget allows, create a simple web interface for users to input website URLs and view analysis results.
Required Skills:
* Strong Python proficiency
* Expertise in NLP libraries (NLTK, SpaCy, Gensim, or similar)
* Web scraping experience (BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar)
* Understanding of readability metrics
