Ghostwriter (Part-Time) – WEB DEVELOPMENT

We are seeking a talented part-time ghostwriter to articulate and share the vision of our CEO with a wider audience. Your role will involve producing technical and thought leadership content, including short-form LinkedIn posts, long-form blog articles, and scripts for short-form videos.

This position requires a skilled writer who can convey complex ideas in an engaging manner, tailor content to various platforms, and adapt to the CEO's voice and tonality. Your work will play a pivotal role in our content strategy, directly contributing to the CEO’s personal brand and thought leadership in the industry.

To be successful in this role, you need to demonstrate excellent writing skills, but also be independent and proactive, someone can consistently deliver content on schedule and in great quality. You will also collaborate with other members of the marketing team on design and editing work.

This will be a remote-based, part-time position, with approximately 15-25 hours per week, with the possibility to expand to a full-time role as we evolve. At least half of your working hours should be in EST time zones for meetings and collaboration, and you can choose your hours for the rest. You will be reporting directly to the CMO.

Our monthly content creation process is a well-orchestrated process that emphasizes collaboration, creativity, and efficiency:
– Monthly Content Brainstorming: Once a month, we hold a content brainstorming session lasting 60 minutes, involving the CEO, CMO, and ghostwriter. During this session, we brainstorm for LinkedIn post ideas for the upcoming month, aiming for 20 posts per batch. We also discuss potential topics for long-form articles.
– Drafting and Initial Review: Following the brainstorming session, the ghostwriter takes the next week to transform these ideas into drafts for review.
– Review and Recording: The CEO and CMO dedicate 30 minutes to review the content, providing feedback to refine the tone and enhance the message.
– Finalization and Visualization: The ghostwriter finalizes the content, working closely with the marketing assistant and graphic designers to prepare the visuals.
– Content Management and Scheduling: The ghostwriter then formats and organizes everything in our content management software, preparing it for final approval. The CMO conducts a final review to ensure all content meets our high standards and aligns with our strategic goals before scheduling it for publication.
– Content Analysis and Retrospective: Towards the end of the cycle, the ghostwriter gathers performance data on the posted content, provides a content report and suggestions for improvement, which will be reviewed by the CEO and CMO, and used as a guide for the next brainstorming session.

Responsibilities:
– Short-form LinkedIn Content Creation: Produce compelling short-form content specifically for LinkedIn, designed to engage and inform business leaders and professionals within our industry.
– Long-form Blog Article Writing: Develop detailed, informative blog articles that delve deeper into technical topics, showcasing our expertise and the CEO's thought leadership.
– Video Script Writing:  Craft compelling scripts, captions, and footnotes for short-form videos. Ensure scripts communicate our innovations and insights in the industry concisely, clearly, and in the CEO's voice.
– Drive Content Brainstorm Sessions: Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative content ideas that align with strategic goals and amplify our CEO's thought leadership.
– Work with Designer and/or AI for Graphics: Collaborate with graphic designers or utilize AI tools to create visual elements that complement and enhance the written content, reinforcing our brand's message and values.
– Work with Marketing Team Assistant and/or AI for Basic Video Editing: Collaborate with the marketing team assistant to ensure consistent quality in our video editing. Ensure videos are correctly captioned with clear subtitles and aligned with the company’s branding.
– Analyze Content Performance, Drive Retrospective, and Content Iterations: Monitor and review content performance metrics to gauge audience engagement and effectiveness. We continuously use insights to refine and improve our topic selection and writing style.

Qualifications:
– Exceptional English speaker with advanced writing and editing skills, with a strong track record of producing a range of content across different platforms
– 2+ years experience in ghostwriting, particularly for CEOs or high-level executives
– Experience with writing compelling LinkedIn content for business leaders is a must
– Background in writing for the tech industry, environmental sectors, architecture, or smart buildings is highly desirable
– Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with varying deadlines.
– Quick learner, able to grasp new technologies, products, and industry knowledge rapidly.
