Three.js Developer for Custom Web Application – Social Media Manager
We are seeking a skilled Front-End Developer with experience in three.js to create a robust web application. The main functionality of the app is to allow users to upload 3D STP files, interact with these models by selecting and tagging different faces, and then exporting the selected faces as multiple STL files based on their assigned tags. This position requires strong skills in JavaScript, experience with three.js, and familiarity with 3D modeling software and file formats.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a web-based UI that allows users to upload and display 3D STP files.
Implement features enabling users to select multiple faces of the 3D model within the web interface.
Allow users to assign custom name tags to each selected group or individual face.
Create functionality to export tagged faces into separate STL files.
Ensure the entire process is intuitive and runs smoothly within the web UI.
Collaborate with the project manager to meet specifications and deadlines.
Test and optimise the application for speed and efficiency.
Document the development process, architecture, and standard components.
Requirements:
Proven experience with three.js and web-based 3D modeling.
Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with 3D file formats, particularly STP and STL.
Ability to write clean, readable, and well-documented code.
Experience with responsive and cross-browser development.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication skills and proficiency in English.
Desirable:
A portfolio of similar projects involving three.js and 3D modeling.
Familiarity with additional web development frameworks and tools.
Experience with UI/UX design.
Knowledge of server-side programming languages.
