Frontend Developer (Plasmic.app and WordPress) – SEO Job

We are looking for a front-end developer who has experience working with Plasmic.app and WordPress. Our current website, rayobyte . com, is built on a combination of some WordPress pages as well as some Plasmic.app pages. We did it this way to avoid doing a full migration of our 1000+ pages, but we are now running into an issue where supporting both WordPress landing pages (old approach), and Plasmic pages (new approach), is causing many issues.

It is worth noting:  today, our blog posting is managed by WordPress, so we will have to determine if we can/should move this to Plasmic and use WordPress headless CMS or some other way to manage and post our blog content.

For this job, we are looking for a quick-fix to existing issues (listed below), as well as a long-term developer who can help us do the full migration to a proper tech stack over the next months.

We define clear tech requirements for short-term needs, such as:

– Page Speed Insights performance is ≥ 95 for Desktop (and ≥ 90 for Mobile) on all webpages (WordPress and Plasmic).
Example of current scores:
– WordPress: 50 on Desktop and 28 on Mobile
– Plasmic: 59 on Desktop and 26 on Mobile

Note: this would most probably also require all images (both in Plasmic and WordPress) to be properly compressed and/or lazy-loaded, while output JS is minified.

– Canonical links have been added to all our Plasmic webpages
– All unused generated by Plasmic links (currently directing to 404) are removed from the code source. Example: https://rayobyte.com/_next/data/nebyeXdGJjtHOvm3O5cAm/blog.json
– Ability to achieve an SEO Score of over 90% using seositecheckup.com

Once all these pages and issues have been resolved, we will work with you to do a full migration off of WordPress and into Plasmic as a long-term project.
